Both explore society and human psyche through architectural descriptions of imaginary cities, but Sasarman's masterfully crafted prose poems feel more immediate, serving as spellbinding descriptions of architectural impossibilities as well as slyly subversive social commentary. The equality of all citizens is an enshrining principle of the ziggurat Vavylon, with steep ramps oiled every day to prevent ascent, though descent is very rapid. The elite of Musaeum create immortal artworks that remain unknown, for they are too busy with their own works to look at one another's. The intrepid explorers of Selenia vainly hunt for a building site uncontaminated by the psychic refuse of Earth's poets, lovers, and dreamers, which litters most of the lunar surface. --Publishers Weekly March 11, 2013

Worth the wait!

Dante's book was defintely worth the wait for me I really enjoyed his and Amara's story and how the chemistry was there but it was'nt rushed the author really took her time with them and let there story develope before letting them fall in love. I also loved the fact that she brought all the characters from the CCD series back! I really loved reading and catching up with them in Dante's book and then she introduced us to two new charaters in the form of Caleb and Griffin I can't wait for there stories to come out. Also Dante's brother's were introduced as well they were jerks in the book but after Amara set them straight they eventually pulled there heads out of there butts and were willing to heal the rift between them and dante I would have loved for it to be more but sadly the book ened with them standing in dante's door asking for another chance so hopefully when there series starts the author will begin there. Other wise it was a great read for me and so worth the wait!! Great Job Ms. Rochelle!

It has been way to long for Marie to finally have a IR book that I can read. I am looking for the next installment. I loved Amara's and Dante lovestory. The ending was not what I expected. Hope you will keep us going like you did with the wonderful men of CCD...

It's a good book, but something is missing

Honestly, it's not that romantic in the beginning (the main characters meet once and don't meet again until 42% into the book) which is disappointing because Ms Rochelle is extremely good at the romance part of her books. Plus, everything is summed up way to quickly at the end. I felt the relationship wasn't able to be fully developed since it took so long for them to meet. Also the unnecessary chapters about his friends from the other books really detracted from the main relationship (it was nice to catch up, but honestly it was too much catch up). Also, we spent waaaay more time on his lingering feelings for Keira than really learning anything about the main couple. Despite all this, it's a pretty good book and Ms. Rochelle explores an interesting topic, but it just didn't possess her normal level of romance and alpha maleness. It leaves you wishing there was more depth to the characters.

We asked Sol Weinstein, author of the Hebrew Secret Agent Israel Bond (Oy Oy Seven) thrillers to describe his fulsome career in three sentences. They are: 1 1/2 – 3 months for kiting checks … 2 1/2 months for illegally checking kites at a Tokyo kids’ fair … and 1 week for pushing Stepan Novotny, infamous forger, from the top of the Prague National Bank. (The Czech bounced.) In addition to Oy Oy Seven’s capers in Loxfinger, Matzohball, On the Secret Service of His Majesty the Queen, and You Only Live Until You Die, he wrote a highly sentimental set of music and lyrics to “The Curtain Falls”, sung by Kevin Spacey in the biopic Beyond the Sea in his role as Bobby Darin. Sol currently resides in New Zealand, is a member of Temple Sinai in Wellington, and pronounces a favourite ethnic food as “kiegel”, not “kugel”.

Very tongue-in-cheek

For someone like me who's watched the whole James Bond phenomenon from the fringes and thought "Srsly?!" this novel was quite fun, and much more intelligently written than other modern JB spoofs like the Austin Powers movies or Johnny English. I probably would have enjoyed it even more if I were a little more in-the-know about the details of 007's world, but it was still a page-turning, amusing read.

this is an an incredibly hilarious book. Israel bond it all over James Bond. The characters of funny. Those story plot is well constructed. Are you enjoyed this book very much and read it in one day. I just could not put it down. I highly recommend this book it is a wonderful read which will keep you laughing to the end.

It was a quick read but I confess it becomes somewhat boring and the funny parts are sometimes trite. The title got me but the book would be great for a teenager perhaps.
