Enlightening, fascinating and eye opening!

I've always had a bit of an initial struggle with Mr. Missler trying to understand all he says but I eventually come to an understanding. This book is no exception. I have known little about how our banking system was created but Chuck Missler explains it so even I can be enlightened. This is a fascinating book that I had a hard time putting aside to do other things. This is the third book in his series of the four horsemen that I have read and I have enjoyed them all. These books have strengthened my faith and added to my hope in God and His wonderful plan for His children. Thank you Mr Missler for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. I am recommending this book and the whole series!

About the Author
Anthony (Andoni) Kastros is a 19-year veteran of the fire service. He is a Battalion Chief with Sacramento Metro Fire District, and founder of Firefighter Inspiration Readiness and Education (FIRE). Through FIRE, he has coached hundreds of firefighters on assessment centers, interviews, and promotional techniques. He teaches leadership/team building for fire departments throughout California, and Fire Management at the community college level. He is a California State Certified instructor for Incident Command, Rapid Intervention Tactics, Driver/Operator, and Confined Space Rescue. He is a USAR Logistics Team Manager with Sacramento Task Force 7, deploying to New York on 9/11. He has spent 4 years with a Type 1 Incident Management Team, and developed Metro Fire's Rescue Company program. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Human Resource Management, an Associate of Science degree in Fire Technology, and is a certified Fire Officer for California. Anthony makes his home in El Dorado Hills, California with his wife, Cynthia and their daughter, Sophia.

Preparing For Full Time Fire Fighter Position

It Is very important to be prepared for the extensive hiring process that canadites experinece to reach a Full Time Fire Fighter Position. With competetion at its peak knowing how to present yourself as an honorable well educated fireman is the key to success.

The ability to listen to a CD during the day while taking care of obligations speeds up the prep time and takes away the sense of urgency trying to read a huge FF Book.

Just what i needed!

Just like i said about the book of the same title that i have, these audio books help me when i just dont feel like picking the book up. I can ride down the street on my way to someplace and just listen to them. When I get home I can then go over and mark in the book what i may have heard or what caught my attention.

Delivers concise information on complicated topic

I've given this book to a few people because it's a really great introduction to Acupressure. I understand that there are some charts with incorrect pictures, however for the people who needed this book, that will not be a problem because the charts may not be a level of detail to which they will defer. I wanted to get something in their hands that was easy to read and understand because Chinese medicine can be a complicated topic. I thought this delivered.

I am the author of this book. I feel this is a very good book, however the publishers made a serious error in editing when they did this book, and did not send galley proofs to me before publication. Warning: the meridian charts are not correct. The POINTS on each chart, eg. key points on the stomach meridian, ARE CORRECT, but the meridian lines showing the paths of the meridians are not correct. The reader should refer to the text, and, perhaps, buy a seperate set of charts. P. S. people who have used this book tell me it is very helpful. Helen Saul

The code doesn't work on Android Studio

To me, there is one major annoyance related to this book: the downloadable code can only run on Lollipop. If you are like me and use an Android device to test your software and it does not yet support Lollipop, that can be a deal-breaker.

The Lollipop requirement, to me, is very puzzling. Lollipop is not yet used in vast majority of Android devices. Furthermore, Android Studio is now the default IDE of choice for Android apps. When I tried to import the code using Android Studio (I have used various means), I was unable to run the code on my KitKat Android device. This was VERY annoying.

The explanations, while good, can be easily obtained at developer.android.com site. In my opinion, the author did not add substantial value to an already excellent online documentation on fragments provided by Google.

The book is small and is only 113 pages long (without index).

Overall, I think this could be a helpful book. But the lack of compatibility of the downloadable codes with KitKat and Android Studio left me less than satisfied with the purchase of this book. If you already own a Android device that runs Lollipop, then I think this book could be a worthwhile purchase.

Pros:
1)Good explanations of fragments.

Cons:
1)Short and does not add much value to an existing documentation on fragments provided by Google.
2)Downloadable code is not fully compatible with Android Studio and works only Lollipop.

Tomlinson Holman is President of TMH Corporation and one of the prominent figures in audio today. He is widely known for his development of new products and processes in the field of audio and video, including the THX Sound System, Home THX (with his patents licensed to more than 45 companies), and the THX Digital Mastering program developed while he was Corporate Technical Director at Lucasfilm, Ltd. He has won career achievement awards from CAS and the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association. Mr. Holman is a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society, the British Kinematograph Sound and Television Society, and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. He is Co-Chairman of the Audio Engineering Society Task Force on High-Capacity Audio.

MIXING FOR SURROUND? IT'S TRICKY BUT IT'S DOABLE.

So LOGIC and CUBASE offer a "free" option for mixing in surround, but to do it in PROTOOLS you have to buy PROTOOLS HD, or go back in time and get an archair PROTOOLS TDM system. Oh well. Good to know. There is much work to be done, and I'd better start doing the work. But this book is a good start. THere's also an awesome ProTools app called "spanner" from a guy in Australia / New Zealand, search YouTube for "spanner" and be prepared to see something awesome.

5.1 Channel Surround Sound: Up and Running

It is true that surround sound is a topic that has only recently been resubmitted to the scholarly and professional community for reconsideration. A book on this topic, especially by an accomplished expert such as Holman, should be welcomed. It is somewhat disappointing therefore that his efforts fall short and his book reads like a direct outcome of introductory lectures on the subject. There is a certain lack of precision and lucidity in its structure and format. Scholarly references have been almost completely omitted despite the fact that the professional world has been concerned with surround sound for years now and there are many publications available in form of technical papers; instead there is a long list of soon to be outdated addresses and phone numbers of respective manufacturers of surround sound equipment. Many technical terms are mentioned -- often quite casually, but very few explained in detail; information tends to be scattered and redundant without ever reaching a particular depth. I would recommend this book to a novice in sound recording if it weren't for the many terms that lack thorough explanation. It seems regrettable that what should have remained an introductory paper on the topic was artificially padded to become a book.
