Es una magnífica obra escrita por una persona my conocedora del tema y gran capacidad de relatar. Nos habla de las seis esposas, como describe el título, pero sin dejarlo de lado ni a él ni a sus circunstancias ni a los personajes del entorno ni al ambiente imperante. Todo esto con intención de explicar el por qué de las acciones. Uno termina muy ilustrado sobre el tema. Aunque abunda en detalles no se siente cargada ni tiene datos de erudición. Es un libro escrito para personas con conocimientos normales de la historia. Muy bueno.

About the Author
Dr. Christopher became a Master Herbalist in 1946 after completing course work under Dr. H. Knowles at Dominion Herbal College in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1948 he received his Naturopathic Doctor degree from the Institute of Drugless Therapy in Tama, Iowa. He continued his studies at the Los Angeles Herbal Institute under the renowned Dr. Edward Shook, receiving his Herbal Pharmacist degree. He practiced as a professional herbalist in the states of Washington, Wyoming, and Utah. He developed a training program for herbalists and organized The School of Natural Healing in 1953. When political legalities kept him from healing patients in his clinic, he fully applied his talents in instruction and provided herbal education for thousands. In addition to lecturing, he wrote and published other works including, Herbal Home Health Care, Capsicum, Every Woman's Herbal, Regenerative Diet, Three Day Cleansing Program, Curing the Incurables, The Cold Sheet Treament, and Rejuvenation Through Elimination. Dr. Christopher's message is "God intended everyone to have the knowledge to properly care for their own body."

Healthy living

This book is more helpful for healthy living than any prescription in the country. When my mom had cancer and followed the instructions, the cancer went away and she was healthy for over twenty years. When cancer came again and she did the "normal" chemotherapy, it caused strokes and other bad side effects but did not cure the cancer. I used it and cured diabetes in four months. I recommend this book to anyone who has health problems, and to anyone who does not want to get health problems.

He was a Master Herbalist and I have many books on this subject...this one, however, is the 20th anniversary, expanded version issue and is the Bible of them all. I promise you, even if you're traveling, you will want to keep it with you. His personal life story is a miracle to me, he was an abandoned child found by some loving people in an orphanage when he was a young boy. And what a contribution to humanity this man has made! It's the best book that exist about the use of herbs. Also, helps you to identify plants and tells you what parts to use. I love his work, it's written for all the right reasons, he had been critically ill in his youth and his work sprung from those hardships. It is inspired!

Would like to save some people money if possible

Would like to save some people money if possible. I have looked over the 15th, Centennial, and 25th edition and they are all have the exact same information. I can tell you that the 15th has 10 more pages and updated names + glossary. You should not pay more than $79.95 for the book (any version). You can get it directly from the company "Christopher Publications" for this price. The 15th edition & Centennial are exactly the same- page by page except at the end of the book it's 10 more pages of Glossary Terms in 15th edition. I would recommend anyone looking to get this book to get the 15th edition. I read a review stating that some of the herbs were removed and I can only assume that the person owned a first edition because the 25th, Centennial, and 15th edition have all the same information. I did note that the Index in the 15th & Centennial have misprinted information (ex. Yarrow is Arrow, & Lobelia is listed on pages it's not) and the 25th edition's Index is listed correctly based on where to find information. Hope this information is helpful.

Good book. It was required for a college course

Good book. It was required for a college course. The font is easy enough to read, not too small as some print in other books have been. The chapters were pretty short (2-6 pages). The book was easy to understand & written in a way that when the author explains a scenario, I can imagine it happening. If you have ever stayed in any hotel or dined in any restaurant, you can relate the examples contained within the book to your experience.

Michael Prescott was born and raised in New Jersey and attended Wesleyan University, majoring in film studies. After college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a screenwriter. In 1986 he sold his first novel, and has gone on to pen six thrillers under the name Brian Harper and ten books as Michael Prescott. He has sold more than one million print copies and is finding a large new audience through e-books. Death came to Tuskett, California and his name was Kane

Before he was Michael Prescott and Brian Harper, Douglas Borton published five or six novels under his own name in the late eighties and nineties. Kane was one of those novels.

Tuskett, California, population twenty-three received a visitor shambling through the desert dressed in black. Anyone who encountered him knew that he was trouble. During the course of one apocalyptic night, the population of Tuskett declined due to Kane. No one knew who he was, but they knew he was out to make Tuskett a ghost town.

Kane is a well-written novel filled with real, flesh-and-blood characters that readers will care about. The night that the novel takes place is an agonizingly suspenseful experience. This is one of the trademarks of a Michael Prescott novel. I, for one, hope that he will continue to re-issue his earlier books into the Kindle format so we can read his entire canon. Michael Prescott is one of my "can't miss" authors. When I see a new book of his, I instinctively click on purchase. Hopefully, you will too. Well done, Mr Borton...or Harper...or Prescott, whoever you are! Thank you for a shivery reading experience!

Michael Prescott, under the pseudonym Douglas Borton, wrote some excellent horror novels (see below) at the tail end of the 1980s horror boom. I have all 5 Douglas Borton paperbacks (new condition) and look forward to getting all of them on e-books to re-read. If you want a good horrifying read KANE will satisfy the most jaded Horror reader.
